A Purpose-Driven Project
Hey there! Good morning, afternoon, or evening — depending on when you’re reading this. You can call me Karma, and I’m the developer behind Kyawai.
This project was born from a mix of personal experiences here in Japan, and a question that kept echoing in my mind:
If there are so many dating apps out there, why did none of them seem to offer what I truly needed?
After years of avoiding these platforms —mainly out of embarrassment— I decided to give them a shot for the first time. What I found were apps filled with bots, limited systems, and features locked behind endless paywalls. In the end, trying to find someone I genuinely liked felt like a never-ending quest.
So I thought:
If the perfect tool doesn’t exist… why not build it myself?
That’s how Kyawai began: first as a dream, and now as an ongoing journey of growth. What I’m building here isn’t just another dating app — it’s a social platform designed with care to help you find truly compatible people, regardless of gender, beliefs, preferences, or personal goals.
Kyawai is still evolving, and I know there’s a long road ahead. But every day, I’m working with passion to improve it, fix its flaws, add new features, and get closer to the ideal version I envisioned when I first began.
